Take. each drop of

Take.

each drop of sweat, tears, blood

the fluids of pain that pour

forth as I crown you as my given destroyer.

I never chose you so as to be

saved. For I don't know what it

means to be given that pleasure.

just--

Take.

Stephany Raynolds

Every pause, choke, stutter

the bundle of nerves that unravel

on the floor as I watch your coronation.

I string up my heart like flag on my spine. In hopes my lungs pledge allegiance to your household.

Take.
